2000 CASH RECEIPTS


Cash receipts from farm marketings in Kansas during 2000 were $7.91 billion, up 6 percent from 1999 (see table 1). Livestock receipts increased 9 percent while crop receipts decreased 2 per-cent. Livestock receipts represented nearly 70 percent of the cash receipts
for the State. Cattle and calves ac-counted for the largest portion of cash receipts in Kansas at $4.95 billion, nearly 63 percent of all cash receipts. Wheat accounted for the next largest portion at $891 million, over 11 percent of the total receipts.
