2001 Cash Receipts


Cash receipts from 2001 farm marketings in Kansas were $8.12 billion, up 1 percent from 2000. Livestock receipts increased 1 percent, accounting for over 68 percent of all receipts. Crop receipts increased 3 percent, accounting for the remaining 32 percent. Gross income per Kansas farm, prior to inventory adjustment,
rose 2 percent from 2000's level. Net income per farm, after inventory adjustment, averaged $15,209 in 2001, down $17 from the year earlier. Total State production expenses rose 3 percent for the year. Total direct government payments were off 13 percent for the year. See detailed data in the accompanying tables.
