USDA to Hold Meeting for Stakeholders to Give Input about Statistical Programs

WASHINGTON, District of Columbia, April 8, 2019 –The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) will hold its annual USDA Data Users’ Meeting on Tuesday, April 23, in Chicago, IL, to solicit comments and input on various data and information programs important to agriculture. The 2019 meeting, which is free of charge and open to anyone interested in learning about recent and pending changes in these programs, will take place from 12:30 p.m. – 5:45 p.m. CDT at the University of Chicago’s Gleacher Center at 450 North Cityfront Plaza Drive.

NASS and partner agencies organize the annual meeting for USDA stakeholders. Other participating USDA agencies include the Agricultural Marketing Service, Economic Research Service, Farm Service Agency, Foreign Agricultural Service, and the World Agricultural Outlook Board. The U.S. Census Bureau will also participate. Leaders from each agency will provide an overview of current issues and then take questions and comments.

The Data Users’ Meeting precedes the Livestock Marketing Information Center’s (LMIC) Industry Outlook Conference that will be held at the same location on Wednesday, April 24. The outlook meeting brings together analysts from various commodity sectors to discuss the outlook situation.
