NASS to Publish a JSON (Java Script Object Notation) File for Principal Federal Economic Indicator Releases

The National Agricultural Statistics Service will release a file in JSON format containing U.S. statistical data highlights from its Principal Federal Economic Indicator reports. JSON is an open-standard file format that uses human-readable text to transmit data objects consisting of attribute-value pairs and array data types. The files will be equal to output using the Quick Stats Application Program Interface (API) and will be available at release time on the NASS website, under the Today’s Report section. Further information, including specific reports that will offer this additional format, as well as examples of previous report files, are available on the NASS website at www.nass.usda.gov/Quick_Stats/JSON.
