Morris Hansen Lecture

The 28th Annual Morris Hansen Lecture will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, with the lecture commencing at 3:30 p.m. in the USDA’s Jefferson Auditorium. A small reception on USDA’s Whitten Patio will follow the lecture.

We are honored to have Malay Ghosh, Distinguished Professor, University of Florida, as our keynote speaker. The title of the lecture is “Small Area Estimation: Its Evolution in Five Decades”.

To discuss the lecture, we have two discussants:

  • J. N.K. Rao, Distinguished Research Professor, School of Mathematics and Statistics, Carleton University
  • Julie Gershunskaya, Mathematical Statistician, Bureau of Labor Statistics

Building Access/Security

Photo ID is required to enter the building. Please allow 20 – 30 minutes to go through the security check point. Individuals not on the registration list will also enter Wing 5.
