NASS to Release Corrected Livestock Slaughter Report March 24 at 3:00 p.m.

The National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) will release a corrected Livestock Slaughter report today, Tuesday, March 24 at 3:00 p.m. NASS originally released the report on March 19 as scheduled but removed it from the Internet on March 20 after data errors were found. The March report contains February data. The Livestock Slaughter report contains monthly data on cattle, calves, sheep, lambs, hogs and pigs slaughtered in commercial and federally-inspected plants by state in addition to red meat production by species at the U.S. and state levels. All NASS reports are available at www.nass.usda.gov.
