The North Carolina Field Office of the National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) is also The Agricultural Statistics Division of the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (NCDA&CS).

The North Carolina Field Office collects, prepares and disseminates a regular series of official crop, livestock and price estimates, along with other statistics relative to agriculture in North Carolina and the nation.

Mission: To collect and disseminate agricultural statistics for North Carolina. Crop estimates include acreage, yield, production, stocks and economic data; livestock, dairy and poultry estimates include inventory, production, disposition and income, economic data and number of operations by species; data collection and sampling frames include sampling frame development and maintenance, survey design, data collection, editing and analysis of data for major surveys.
